✨ Charlene Wilson - Owner & Stylist - Charlene grew up listening to her grandmother tell many stories of their family’s history of hairdressing and managing family-owned businesses. With 3 generations of stylists before her and a lot of support from family and mentors, Charlene was able to pursue the goal of providing a professional and friendly salon for loyal clients and coworkers.
🌱 Being passionate about the environment and paying it forward to mentor others led Charlene to align Solace Salon with the Green Circle Salons recycling program (@greencirclesalons), and BC’s Industry Training Authority’s Red Seal Apprenticeship program (@skilledtradesbc).
😺 Away from the salon, Charlene can be found spending time with her awesome husband, their 2 adorable cats, and family and friends. She loves to read, and enjoys cooking, spending time at the beach, and walking in nature.
✨ Ashley Howarth - Stylist - Ashley was born and raised in Saanich. Her hairstyling career started in early 2017 when she enrolled in the challenging hybrid program of SD 63 and Vancouver Island University’s hair stylist program.
👩 In addition, Ashley has successfully completed the ITA’s Red Seal Certification as a hairstylist and has been certified by Cezanne as a smoothing service provider. Being creative on many levels has helped Ashley pursue her career goals of developing a great client base where she can help each person achieve the style they are hoping for.
🏍️ On her days off Ashley enjoys hanging out with her family and friends, going for motorcycle rides, playing video games, drawing & painting, and spending time in nature.
